After much consideration and with great difficulty, we have made the decision to retire and close Marks Lumber in 2027.
This decision marks the end of an important chapter for our family, our employees, and the many customers and business partners who have supported Marks Lumber throughout the years. We are proud of the business we have built and deeply grateful for the relationships that have made this journey possible.
As we begin the process of winding down operations, we want to provide our customers and business partners with the following timeline:
- October 20, 2026: Marks Lumber will stop accepting special-cut orders.
- November 6, 2026: Sawing operations will come to an end.
- Remainder of 2026: Marks Lumber will continue to serve customers with existing inventory.
- 2027: We will continue to serve customers as we sell through our remaining stock products.
Our final closing date will be determined by the depletion of our inventory.

Marks Lumber has been fortunate to be part of this industry and this community, and we are grateful for the many friendships and memories created along the way.
While closing the business is a difficult decision, we are thankful for the opportunity to bring Marks Lumber to a thoughtful and orderly conclusion. We look forward to working with our customers and partners throughout the remainder of our operations and to expressing our appreciation personally whenever possible.
