Looking for a project to keep you busy this winter? Accent walls are the perfect winter project that can quickly transform an entire room. Natural wood paneling is a beautiful option that will make your interior feel warm and welcoming and can enhance almost any style of home. At Marks Lumber, we have options that will fit almost any style. Not sure where to look? We’ve compiled a list of our top five paneling products to help you in your search. Check them out below!

Tongue and Groove

Marks Lumber’s smooth tongue and groove paneling comes in a WP4 pattern, meaning the pieces come together to form a V-groove. We currently have this product available in both Douglas fir and Pine. So, whether you're looking to create warmth with the rich reds of the fir, or brighten up the space using pine, we’ve got you covered. This smooth tongue and groove is popular with those looking to add natural accents but aren’t ready to commit to a full-blown rustic look.

Grade 3 Flooring

Speaking of a full-on rustic look, our Grade 3, circle sawn flooring is the perfect choice for anyone ready to embrace our renowned rustic, Montana look. Just like our revered end-matched flooring, this more rustic grade comes in both 4” and 6” widths and still boasts the relief marks on the back that prevent cupping. While this is still a type of tongue and groove, it does not come together in a V-groove pattern like the smooth tongue and groove paneling. Instead, this is a center-matched tongue and groove, meaning the boards will fit together tightly, just as a typical flooring does.

Shiplap

A true classic, shiplap is still one of the most popular paneling options around. If you haven’t heard about shiplap yet, this product is notorious for bringing a touch of charm and character to almost any interior. While its recent spike in popularity can be attributed to the highly sought-after “modern farmhouse” style coined by HGTV’s Joanna Gaines, shiplap has actually been around for hundreds of years thanks to its extreme versatility. If you frequent our page, you’ll notice that shiplap is often used as a siding because of its weather-resistant capabilities. However, with its increased popularity, more and more people have been using our shiplap as paneling because it is easy to install and effortlessly creates a classic look that compliments almost any space.

105 Siding

105 siding is one of the more obscure siding options out there, even though it’s a wonderful choice for both interior and exterior application. 105 siding is a type of shiplap that flaunts a unique round reveal that helps water easily slick off, making it ideal for exterior application. While using it as siding is by far the more popular choice, some people opt to use it as interior paneling due to its unique 1” reveal that distinguishes each individual board from one another.

Dimensional Lumber

Dimensional lumber is another choice if you are looking for an affordable, rough-cut paneling option. Our rough-cut dimensional lumber offers the same famous circle sawn texture as the other rough sawn paneling options. Often, customers will use our dimensional 1” material as paneling if they are looking for a true, no-hassle, authentic look.

At Marks Lumber, we’ll help you find the right paneling for your next project. Contact us today to discuss your vision.
