Classic, tight-edge shiplap siding is a versatile option for anyone looking for a sleek, no-fuss siding. Marks Lumber’s shiplap boasts a unique look with our renowned circle sawn texture creating contrast and texture on an otherwise clean, crisp siding. Install vertically or horizontally, or create a mixture of both orientations for your perfect, custom home.
Shiplap can be used for a variety of applications, including siding, soffit, paneling, or wainscoting. Shiplap siding is made using a rabbet joint, creating a weather-tight, and highly durable exterior shell.

It is important to make sure wood is protected on all sides and edges, whether or not they will be seen. This provides extra protection to help avoid cupping and splitting, and also ensures there will be no unfinished spots peeking through when the wood inevitably shrinks and swells.
While there are many great products you can use that will provide protection for your wood siding, we recommend using Lifetime Weathering Treatment for exterior projects. Lifetime is a one-and-done weathering treatment that requires minimal maintenance and a beautiful barn wood-like finish.
Making sure your wood siding is clean is one of the best things you can do to help extend the life of the product. We recommend using Perma-Chink’s Log Wash once a year to protect and maintain the natural beauty of the wood.
